For Sale:
1966 Saab 95 GT two stroke, 3 carbs, mixer, front discs, 4 bolt rims, been in barn storage for years now, runs but needs TLC. This is a restoration project. Engine runs well, origin unknown, The original owner had 4 engines, including 2 GT's; doesn't remember what was in it last. Number near carb: H 732005. This is the only engine. Western car, minor custom bodywork (dings). Minimal rust, a little in the inner rockers. Have original two-stroke factory manual (cherry) and a scattering of spare two stroke parts which will go with it. Needs a new home as I have recently gotten some Sonetts and that puts it down the resto list a lot. Located in Idaho. Photos available via e-mail. (IDPV@ida.net) (Also have V-4's. ) Stroker parts loose: some used pistons; a triple carb; assortment of starters and generators (this car has an alternator) light lenses; condensors; plugs; etc. Problems: jumps out of freewheel on hard acceleration. Usually possible to cure this by flushing the trans with diesel. Needs return spring on ignition switch. L door latch screwed up, I may have another. Front seats foam powdered out. Subject: 1967 Saab Model 95...

...with overhauled transmission by Bud Clark. Stunning example of the Model 95 with two tone paint (Black below the windows and aquamarine above.). The interior has been restored and is one of the best examples I've ever seen. Mechanically able to go on a coat to coast trip today. Just completed a 1000 mile trip including the Grapevine hill (4th gear 70mph) and over the highest pass on Interstate 5 also in fourth at 70mph. Not to say there aren't plenty of minor issues that need attention but overall a real "find". This car is overall a cut above. Please call for pic's and more information.

Hello,

My dad has inherited a 1973 Sonett. It is a complete car.  It has been sitting outdoors for a number of years so the floorpans are gone, some glass is missing, and the fiberglass is in poor shape. But, it would make a great parts car for someone. All the lights are intact and the motor and all running gear are present. If someone is interested in such a vehicle it is free to a good home. Just wanted to give it to someone who may need it rather than ship it to the scrapyard. It is located in Liberty, MO, just north of Kansas City. Subject: For Sale 71 Sonett III and parts

After a lot of thought I have decided I need to sell my 71 Sonett III. The car is apart and I don't have the time or enough garage space to restore the car. I also have a second body, a second engine 1700cc with 35000 miles, a second transaxle and many other spares.  The previous owner had a parts car that he stripped and I got all those parts. I also have a new, never installed MSS exhaust system with the two mufflers. Also for sale are some new parts, water pump, tune up parts points condenser rotor and cap, and a new competition wire set from Jack Ashcraft. I offer the car and all the parts for a best offer deal but I need it gone fairly soon.  No reasonable offer refused. The MSS system I would like $200.

I was returning from the 2-week family road trip vacation to Colorade on Friday when I pulled off the highway for gas. Upon exiting the gas station, I spied a light blue 96 in front of a repair shop behind the gas station along with several $900 Buicks....
Here are the particulars in case anybody is any the area and wants to have a look. I really don't know any more, spent an honest 2 minutes looking at it as it was in the middle of a 900 mile day.....

1969 Saab 96
Light sky blue, obvious repaint, pretty rusty (doors, top of rear fenders, etc.)
Seems to be complete, interior has split dash pad and medium-rough seats but looks original.
Odometer shows 69,000 miles, probably 169? Right front tire flat. Key was in it and door open, but I didn't try it.  Asking $1200 seems pretty steep to me...unless it runs perfectly.

Don't know the exact location, but it is the exit at Mile 161 on I-70 in the middle of Missouri. The shop is south of the highway, on the west side of the cross-road.

I have 3 Sonetts that aren't running. All 3 have bodies, engines and transaxles. I'm not going to be able to restore any of them. So they need to go. I want them to go someplace where they will do some good.  Come and get them!!!!! If they are not gone by Oct 1st, they are going to the shredder. They are located in Virginia Beach, VA

Hi all,

I wanted to let the group know that I'm selling a bunch of nice 96 interior parts on ebay right now. Front and rear seats (burgundy) in excellent shape, door panels and rear side panels (gray on gray) in good shape, hat shelf in good shape, carpet set in okay shape; more to come in the coming weeks.

These were salvaged from my nice '63 Bullnose driver, which I purchased from Chip Lamb back in '02. Long story short, my cool car lost a battle w/a minivan, and while the car was a write off, I was able to strip it bare of all its good stuff. I'm back freewheelin', smokin' and buzzing down the road again, in a terrific '62, thanks again to leads from Chip (and Kurt Krause). But these extra parts have been gathering dust, so it's time to let 'em go.

Feel free to have a look, any of you working on your own rolling restoration.

There is a 1972 95 located in Orange, CA ----the guy is asking $1500.00, OBO.
The car needs TLC, has some rust--it's from sitting outside. Nothing terminal. The car is tan, with fair paint. has above average upholstery.
